Sensor Hub 6.64 Fix Information (New Effort)

Good Morning,

Since the update (I suspect it) I can no longer connect with Bluetooth and my optical heart rate sensor is no longer working.

I have noticed a difference from the other problems like here:

Here

I tried this solution anyway (unfortunately without success):

Fix

My watch seems to connect to the bluetooth somehow but the watch does not show it (The Bluetooth indicator on the watch remains gray.). When I try to connect via the Garmin app on my phone, the app finds the watch but does not connect. The bar moves very little to the left and goes no further.

SW Version : 8.10

GPS Version : 2.50

TSC version : 2.10

Sensor version : 6.60

WHR version : 20.03.31

Connect IQ : 3.1.9

My watch is set to German, but I don't think the language is relevant.

Thanks for Help!

BR,
Marc

  • I received the following from support:

Master reset of the vivoactive 3:

    - Switch off device (if necessary, press and hold button for 15 seconds).
    - Press button briefly to switch on device.
    - As soon as the Garmin logo (blue triangle) appears, press and hold the button until the watch vibrates twice. Then release the button.
    - Wait for the third vibration and press and hold the button again until the fourth vibration.

If everything was done correctly, you should be able to select the language again.

But ATTENTION: All data will be deleted! Back up with Garmin Express if you still want to.

    - Remove your watch from the Garmin Connect App, as well as from the Bluetooth settings of your smartphone: "Remove and add devices in the Garmin Connect App ".
    - Uninstall the Connect app again, and then turn off your smartphone completely for a few minutes.
    - After you have turned it back on, reinstall the Connect app on your phone and log in with your usual user data
    - First, put the vivoactive 3 n pairing mode: activate Bluetooth pairing mode on the vivoactive 3 series and then press "Add device" in the Connect app.
    - Enter the six-digit pin code displayed on your watch.
    - Follow the further instructions of the Connect app

There is one part success! BT works again but the OHM unfortunately still not. I hope Garmin can help further, I'm waiting for the answer.

  • Haha, "Garminus Resolvus" after all ;-). Hope you get the HRM working again.

  • Haha Yes, this time with Garminus Resolvus! Grinning We will see!

  • It seems to be a defect of the watch that the HRM does not work anymore.
The support asks me to exchange the device. But for me this makes no sense because the watch is already a few years old.

Probably I will buy a new watch but which one is still open.

    Thanks for your help.

  • You can always buy a cheap chest or arm strap and use ANT for heartrate during activities Wink. I use one anyway since the wrist based heartrate during exercises i not particularly great. I recently bought  a Fitcent rechargeable one on Amazon and it outclasses the watch.

Sorry that it could not fully be solved.

  • That would also be an option with the chest strap. I'll wait for the next update, maybe there is still a Garminus Resolvus miracle. JoyJoyJoy
