I have developed a burn mark from the vivoactive 3 watch on my left wrist. I wear it all the time and it looks like a burn and blister. It is concerning that a product from Garmin would do this kind of damage.

It's not only Garmin products that cause this. Certain skins react to silicon or similar man-made materials. I've had the same with Fitbit and Skagen bands. I tend to leave the watch off overnight and apply a tiny bit of antiseptic cream to the affected area. Doesn't cure it but soothes the skin and makes the wearing of a Garmin device more manageable. There are other posts indicating that people have had some success with other types of band from Garmin or purchased via Amazon. Best of luck in your quest.
Occasionally some people have gotten a burn-like irritation corresponding in location to where the charge port is. Some have conjectured that one's sweat may conduct a small charge and cause a burn. Whatever the cause you should contact Garmin Support via a direct call or via chat.
I would contact garmin, my wrist had irritation and they sent me a new band with more slots in it so its more breathable - also need to clean the watch straight away with soapy water and dry thoroughly after a workout. I haven't had an issue since. I also wear it loose throughout the day and only tighten it when doing an activity
