Vivoactive 3 Jaybird Vista Headphone Connectivity

Anyone having issues with Jaybird Vista headphone connectivity on their Vivoactive 3 music after SW 5.80?

  • I just posted a longer post about the watch with Vistas-- tl;dr they're not supported, Garmin claims there is a fix coming, but there is no timeline and they might not ever be compatible anyway.

  • Ironically, at about the same time they were telling you there was no timeline for a fix, firmware 6.0 was downloaded to my watch.  This seems to have fixed the issue for me (based on my first 50 min run).  The initial connection was a bit tricky (I had to let the earphones connect to my phone first, then switch the connection to my watch), but absolutely no problems once connected.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they don’t break it with the next update, since based on the feedback you received it seems like this fix might be a happy accident.

  • I will be updating to SW 6.00 and letting you know if that fixes my issue too. I have also, like above, been told that my watch is now no longer compatible with my jaybirds which is an absolute joke.

  • Can confirm SW 6.00 has also fixed my issue.

  • you're lucky then: for me I believe it was fixed cople days ago, able to do 2 times 10km runs without connection loss. Then came the SW6.0, and the issue came back...

I give up: just ordered a little mp3 player... good side: I'll save battery of the watch, sometimes of bit short while doing long mountain hikings or ski touring (>5 hrs => watch is dead before myself!)

next time I won't search for a 1 fits all device, and probably go to suunto instead of garmin...

  • Bump just to say I am sick to death with this issue.

Would love to be able to roll back the ANT/BLE/BT version.

  • My watch updated its ANT/BLE/BT last week to V6.11. My two runs since the update have had no dropouts, so maybe this has helped.  Might be worth checking to see if you've received this update.

  • I have the update, but still have the dropouts! Seems to be no rhyme or reason...

  • How's the issue been for you?

  • BUMP.

I have had a set of replacement headphones and a replacement watch. Still having issues.
