Anyone having issues with Jaybird Vista headphone connectivity on their Vivoactive 3 music after SW 5.80?
I have been talking with a support rep from Garmin and the answers I've gotten are INCREDIBLY disappointing. I had been using Jaybird Vistas too. I've pasted some highlights below. The most recent communication was just an hour ago.
- They cannot roll back the firmware, even though they clearly have a copy saved somewhere. They will not give it to me, no matter how much I beg.
- There is no timeline for a fix, though the firmware is "under review."
- The update is that the page showing compatible headphones no longer lists the Vistas (https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=FnVJLBvvw51RfH3OE2YUO6&searchQuery=bluetooth%20headphones), and " it is possible they will be added in the future but this is not guaranteed."
So yeah, awful response from Garmin. If it's not working, they should roll it back. I work at a company with a similar hardware/firmware situation, and this is how it's handled for best results across the board. I would love to hear an official statement about what is going on internally.
