My vivoactive, the original was excellent for golf for many years. Consistently 3 yards off! It has just recently been inaccurate. The battery is on its last legs so I bought a vivoactive 3.
Tried many times on two different courses. VA3 consistently short by twenty yards on longer distances and pretty accurate 80 yards in . I compared to golfbuddies, Hole19, Garmin golf watches and straight on course markers. Something is up! Just since the terrible attack on Garmin.
I will probably return it and get a golf buddy for golf and something else for walking and biking. So sad. I always loved Garmin.
