White Spot on Vivoactive3 Screen

Hi there, I suddenly have a white 'dead spot' on my watch screen. Nothing happened per say and I want to know what other peoples experiences were with having it repaired. Were you charged out of warranty?

I've been in touch with Garmin. My watch is being replaced.

Update:

Garmin responded and sent me postage to send the watch to their service center. A week after I sent my watch to Garmin I received a replacement unit. No hassle, no questions just plain good service…

It's a dodgy batch. Seems to happen between 4 and 7 months after purchase. Just contact Garmin if it's still in warranty and they replace it free of charge.

I have the same problem..i checked with.garmin and they said that it is a manufacturing defect and it is only for that specific batch of devices.now since i got this fron Australia and i am now living in India, they said i have to pay Rs 6000 for repair as it doesnt have international warranty, although it comes under warranty period.

Since its a manufacturing defect, I think they should take this up more seriously and resolve this issue in a more professional way rather than billing me so much. And my warranty expires in two weeks

I have the same problem! 6 watch is months old

Why didn't they just recall all of them.? So frustrating.

Garmin support asking me for a serial number from the back of my watch but I don't have one?! IAny ideas? I have found a unit ID in the settings so hoping this is what they need.

You can call the customer care for the serial number. Anyway,im shipping my device to Australia and will update here about how well they resolve this issue

How old was your watch when it happened? Did they charge you?

No idea how old it was. Appeared as new when it arrived.

No charge. Had it four months now. Works fine.

GARMIN INDIA told me that its under warranty period, but they cant replace it for free as this product doesnt have interntional warranty. I shipped it to Australia from where I purchased it, but by the time it reached Australia, the warranty expired. Now I dont know what to do next?
