I've been in touch with Garmin. My watch is being replaced.
Update:
Garmin responded and sent me postage to send the watch to their service center. A week after I sent my watch to Garmin I received a replacement unit. No hassle, no questions just plain good service…
It's a dodgy batch. Seems to happen between 4 and 7 months after purchase. Just contact Garmin if it's still in warranty and they replace it free of charge.
I have the same problem
I have the same problem! Mine is 7 months old and the mark has appeared. It has been nowhere near water other than washing my hands. Sorry pic is upside down. It's at the 20 second mark. Warranty?
