Hello,After the 6.60 software update my vivoactive 3 battery, discharged  quickly and the watch turned off for less than 12 hours.

  • Great! just send it for replacement Garmin does good job with that.

I never use any apps, but also have a same problem.

  • The New VA3 (I bought it week ago as a new device).   First sync - upgrade firmware to 6.6 (I was no occasion to check how it works with original firmware).
Now the battery drain is 1.8% / per hour - it means, that only 2 days is working.   I turned off all inteli sensors (only activity off), also BT is off.

    WTF? (in documentation: 7 days).

My 2-3 years old VA2 HR on one battery stayed almost 10 days.  5-6 days as normal when I used also GPS occasionaly.

Garmin, WTF?     shoul be 7 days is only 2 days.   Is seems to be useless device :(

  • I received my VA3 two weeks ago. During setup it updated from firmware 6.20 to 6.60. Until now I have not experienced any battery drain issues at all.

With normal use, i.e. just wearing the VA3, it uses 5-10% of charge per day. Of course, activities with GPS-tracking use considerably more.

The only problem I have encountered so far, is when reconnecting the VA3 and my Huawei P20 lite in the morning (usually I take off the VA3 and turn off both the watch and my phone over night). I have to turn off/on Bluetooth on my phone several times until finally watch and phone connect.

  • Huawei have had notoriously problems with Garmin devices, its been stated many times before. Its the phone really not the watch.

  • again, Adam, why you even bother to write in here? Just send it for replacement or refund. Also the new V4 has just came out, i wouldnt buy V3 at this point, as the support may be spotty from now on.

Well I have a Samsung S8 and same battery issues.. Could it be Android related? I also have the Garmin Edge 520 with has had many connectivity issues with the Samsung phone..

  • My wife and I have the same problem.  Battery goes from 100% to less 50% in a few hours without even using it for tracking.  Fix it Garmin!

  • thats right!

The VA3 is  - for my - the worst smartwatch from Garmin.  Uselesss (max 2 days with all off - quite new device)
    :(
