After the 7.10 update I have massive problems

Several times per day the screen only displays "IQ" for something like 10 - 15 mins. since this update. Or remains completely black. 

In this state it does not react to any button presses, so no reboot possible!

While in this state it takes longer for Connect or Connect IQ to report connected, but actually no data can be exchanged between my Android (A52) and Venu. 

After this long wait it finally reruns to normal operations.

Very bad QA for this release.

Please fix this asap or revert back to previous OS.

  • Same problem here, sometimes they are there, others blank black screen, sometimes small IQ? on center of blank screen, very frustrating

  • Same here. Sometimes have just a black screen, push a button something shows up, but no watch face. Sometimes works fine, sometimes have small IQ? in center of black screen. Go to watch faces, have a bunch of black circles sometimes, and sometimes shows the watch faces in those circles. Sometimes only the downloaded faces are gone, others all of them. All since that last update

  • Same here... I tried to build a new, very simple watch face of my own, but it happens with mine too.
    I pretty sure the problem is related to the notifications. Furthermore, I've found out it is broken every time I've got a notification to my watch.
    If I turn on the do not disturb, it's not crushing anymore.

    So here a temporary fix Wink

  • Can anybody confirm which all wact models this concerns Venu and Vivoactive4 at least, any updates?

  • Thank you for providing your feedback after the update to 7.10. Garmin is aware of an issue impacting vivoactive 4, 4S, and Venu watches.  We have identified the issue and have released an update as a Public Beta. To update your watch walk through the following: 

    1. Power your watch off and back on.
    2. Enroll in the Public Beta in Garmin Connect.
      1. Use FAQ: https://support.garmin.com/?faq=bVo5U5BV292BSr2gkZhY2A for instructions.
    3. Sync with Garmin Express.

    After you enroll and sync your watch, BETA software version 7.20 will be installed and you should no longer experience the issue of your watch no longer syncing, Connect IQ watch faces no longer displaying, or activities no longer saving. 

    We expect this software version to go to production in the next couple of days.
