Venu Consistently Asking to Update

Not sure why but the thread about our "Venu Asking to Update Every Few Minutes" was locked.  https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/healthandwellness/f/venu/234811/why-does-venu-keeps-asking-to-update-every-few-minutes#pifragment-443=9

Essentially, my watch asks to update every couple hours, even if I say yes and it updates, it asks to update again right afterwards.  I got this response, which did not work: 

Please sync the watch with Garmin Express, perform a Restore to Defaults on the watch, then sync the watch with again Garmin Express.  This should resolve the update issue for you.

Tried it and it did not work. 

Why lock it? I'm sure others must have this issue.
