Why does Venu keeps asking to update every few minutes?

It seems to be stuck in some sort of updating cycle. Green update check button on the bottom of the screen and red X button on the top. Middle of the face says "Software updates are available. Est. time 1 min. Install updates now?". A blue triangle appears and then some sort of what looks like a download logo. Eventually the watch gets back to it's regular watch face. Then a few minutes later it asks again to update again, over and over again.

    I'm having the same issue and I'm considering returning the Venu over it, it makes the watch useless

    I have the same issue, just got my Garmin Venu SQ, keep telling me "Software updates are available. Est. time 1 min.", approve and it "installs" new GPS updates, after a few minutes I get the same message again and again.

    Gamin, when are you going to fix this?

    I have been talking to garmin tech supportba lot about it. They now have all my venu files are are looking into it. Will post on here when I know anything

    Anyone who is seeing this symptom, can you check to see what GPS version is listed as installed in your system settings? 

    We may need to reach out to users affected by this outside of the forums to gather some files off your device. Please respond to this post clearly stating you are okay with receiving a direct message about this if you would like to help us resolve this issue.

    hI! My GPS ver is 0.0. If I use GPS (time, walk or sth) the GPS ver is 2.9, but after "update" it's back to 0.0!

    I started this post some time ago. What I do now is when the update comes up in the morning (around 7 am) I either cancel it or run it. If I run it, the next time it comes up a few minutes later I cancel it. Then I don't see it again until the next morning. Very annoying though because usually when I first look at my watch in the morning I want to know the time and instead I have to wait until the update either runs or turns off.

    My GPS version looks to be 0.00. Please contact me by direct message to hopefully help resolve this.

    Try starting an activity that uses GPS such as run and wait for GPS,
