FW 5.80: Chinese characters still missing

I'm using FW 5.80 and Chinese characters are still not working for me. I've tried sms and email notifications as well as in the music player and everything is the same useless boxes as before the update.

It is the same here when updated directly from Venu via wifi. No Chinese/Japanese displayed.
However, there is a post in the vivoactive 4 forum suggested using Garmin Express to sync again.
So I tried connect…

My wife's vivoactive 4s on FW 5.8 can now finally show Chinese/Japanese in notification and calendar. Awesome. Garmin-Kevin any idea if it's also coming to other watches such as Fenix 6 series?

I'm sorry, at this time, I do not have any information on this feature for other watches. We encourage you to reach out to your local support team that services the Fenix 6 series watch.

We have not been able to reproduce this in house, so at this time I do not have a solution yet. I am adding impact to a case that we have open for customers still experiencing this feature not working correctly. I will send you an email to retrieve the information I need to add you to that case. starryalley can you share what your wife did on her VA4s?

With the recent update, my Venu shows chinese in the notification. I didn't expect it coming and it is a nice surprise. I don't have a PC with me right now. Once I get back home I am going to try if the UI can be in Chinese. Kudos to Garmin!

Garmin-Kevin you are joking right? We all know what will happen when reaching out to Garmin local support team. They will just say it's not supported. To use Chinese, buy one sold by Garmin Taiwan from Taiwan.
