I've been using a specific WF for several months, with AOD turned OFF.
This week I began trying out a new WF and then noticed that the previous one has caused screen burn-in (I emphasize that AOD is OFF).
Has anyone had this experience?

For assistance with this issue, please reach out to your local Garmin Product Support team:
I have added 2 partial screenshots. The 1st shows the right side of the previous WF, where we can clearly see the text + phone calls icons.
The 2nd shows the burn-in in exactly those spots, while using…
My Venu also has burn in. I followed one of the links provided in this thread to this official Garmin support page:

Wow. That's a fantastic photo illustrating how the burn-in ruins Garmin watch faces. Their guidance to minimize this is not useful / helpful / expected / comparative to other brands.
Seems we're getting a Venu 2 as a replacement rather than a refurb I think.
Why do you say that? My email says:
Receiving
GPS Unit
Venu, Wi-Fi, Black/Slate, NA, Recertified
S10-02173-11
Looks like a refurbished Venu 1 for me. I will be extremely annoyed if I go through all the hassle of returning mine and waiting a week for a new one and that one gets burn-in as well, as Garmin's suggestion of "not displaying a static image" on my watch isn't exactly an option for me, lol
I've had this on my venu too. Seems to be image retention, not burn in. Recently used pixels are brighter than other pixels that haven't been used so stand out on a solid background.
It's almost as if pixels take a while to warm up. If you get the flashlight app or make a white watch face and leave that on full brightness for a couple minutes it should go away.
How long is "a while" and how do you know this?
The screenshot I posted shows a watch face burned in that I haven't used in weeks.
Received a new Venu 2 as a replacement yesterday. Our in country support is really just distribution so I doubt they have anything like a recertified or refurbished device to offer... So Venu 2 it is.. Watched was a couple of years old so not unhappy with that outcome.
Unfortunately my Garmin Venu suffers from the same burnin issue. Is this something that is serviced by Garmin past basic warranty period?
I received a refurbished replacement after getting in touch with them.
Ours was a year outside warranty from memory and they replaced with a Venu 2. Outcomes vary by location I expect - good luck with yours.
thanks to them that replied! I got in touch with Garmin support, they redirected me to local distributor and after few emails I got a replacement even with a recently expired warranty. Respect to Garmin! and thanks to the support staff!
My next watch will be a Garmin!
