We are sorry to hear about the issue you are reporting. The skin irritation may be a result of build-up on the watch band and/or casing. You should discontinue wearing your watch until your skin has healed…
Please see thread and response from Garmin - Rash or Irritation happening on my wrist

Hey Isabella
I was also thinking that something is wrong here...
I live in Denmark, on Jutland, Vejle.
Thank you for you help in advance!
I am also occasionally have this issue after exercises. If sweat or dust gets between the skin and the band/watch, the skin gets irritated. My solution is simple. Disinfect the back of the strap and watch with rubbing alcohol after every exercise or at the first sign of skin irritation. Of course i take care to avoid touching with alcohol the charging contacts and never touch with alcohol the screen itself. If the rubber band will get worn out by the alcohol, it is cheap replacement. I can replace with with a few bucks, but I can't replace my skin.
However, I can tell you that after 11 months of using my Venu, there is no sign of any damage made by the alcohol.
PS: I had this similar issues with any watch, and only silicon bands were helping. Garmin's rubber, not silicon.
