I finally solved this on my Android phone.
Bluetooth connected automatically without problems when bluetooth was turned off-on or phone / watch was booted.
BUT
When bluetooth was disconnected due to distance…
Hello all. We currently are working on an issue where the Garmin Connect mobile app can prompt the connected watch to show a pairing code, even though the watch and mobile app are already paired, connected…
I only have the watch 3 days and it's bugging me.
Did anyone manage to get this sorted. I'm having the same issue. Using huawei mate20 Pro.
Also sleep tracking is so bad. It's. Saying I'm going…
Managed to get this sorted before I got the replies but yes you were right.
To resolve I needed to clear the Bluetooth cache and data on the phone.
Connection seems to be steady now so let's monitor over…
testing this (since this morning) as mentioned :
- remove all BT connections on the phone (unpair)
- remove my Venu from the Garmin App
- clear BT cache (i didn't clear the garmin app cache)
- restart phone + restart Venu
- pair again the Venu with Garmin App
- sync and setup again the Venu
- add new other BT device (only 1 at the moment)
under monitoring and wait for any improvements :-)
HI there, Are you leaving your Garmin app running in the back ground? If so, and you are still experiencing drops I would like to get that escalated for you.
bad news, the workaround doesn't work better...
I have still disconnections on my Venu like I told before. Moreover, I have experienced more troubleshooting and I can add that the Venu shows me the message "connected" or "disconnected" during those events (info --> my phone is at 1 meter maximum of my Venu) :
- use the WIFI network on the Venu to check update (i have the message : "searching for the WIFI network" then immediately I have the message "phone disconnected" --> so, I am guessing there is no issue related to my phone as the operations occured only on my Venu
- when I received a call on my phone + answering with my BT headset --> immediately the Venu shows me a message "phone disconnected". I hadn't this behavior before with a simple HR+ device. very strange.
i would like to add that now I have only 1 BT device configured on my phone + my Venu. Garmin is running in the background and I checked that there is no "optimization for the battery" on the Garmin App.
what else ??
would be very great to have a deep dig on that problem from garmin please.
I have same problem for a month, there in forum i got many solutions , but still have same problem, my problem is only one disconectinn and connecting all the time, even when im 50cm away from my phone. This is realy *** :D that you paid price like that and getting these bugs :) so i just turned off connection notofication i my watch and thats it, cause nobody coulr give me suitable solution
Garmin-AmberD : I am pretty sure Garmin Connect is running in the background. I tried to use "stop the app" on Android (kill the process in the background) and my Venu notified me directly with a "disconnected" message and few seconds later : "Connected" because the app was re-running in the background.
I am trying the new release : 5.46 since this morning. will see if there is any improvement on BT connection (I read there is one on "notifications" with 5.30)
I had this problem with my older Forerunner so decided it was time to upgrade and bought a Venu but I'm having the exact same problem on Android. I've just switched to 5.46 to see if it helps at all.
same for me : no improvement. issue still here.
this afternoon, I was calling with my phone + BT headset --> during the dialing, the Venu notified me with a "disconnected" :-(
Might it be the Garmin Connect App ?? why not, but again with my HR+ no problem, no issue, same phone ...
