Garmin Venu doesn't pair with connect app

When I received my Venu it didn't pair with the Connect app, but suddenly everything seemed to work alright. That is, until I turned off the watch. After that I have never  been able to pair watch and app again. The watch is visible from within the app's pairing mode, but it keeps 'searching' and reports 'we are having some trouble locating your device'. I have tried every option from the manual and support site. I have tried three different phones and an Ipad, all with their latest OS, but nowhere does the watch pair. The 3.80 update did not solve the problem. I have e-mailed Garmin two weeks ago, but they did not respond. Does anyone have a solution or should I deem this device faulty and return it?

  • - reboot your phone

    - remove the device from garmin connect

    - repair the watch with connect

    Did that, didn't work :(

  • something else you can try is to factory reset your watch and then try to pair again, if that also doesn't work I'm out of ideas.

  • Try to be somewhere where there is no chance of interference from multiple BT devices. I have had issues in the past when my wife's iPad was in the same room as my phone..

    Were you able to fix the problem? I have the same issue, bought a new phone, everything worked fine and as of tonight, I'm not able to pair my device with the connect app. Have tried factory reset, restarted my devices a couple of times. Reinstalled the garmin app, deleted the device on my old phone. I'm out of options so any advice would be appreciated Slight smile

    Hello! I'm sorry you are having this issue. Are you using an iPhone or Android? Do you happen to have this old phone still and if so can yo be sure the device is not hanging out in the Bluetooth settings?

  • Still get this problem. Only way I can sort it is by switching off phone and watch. Make sure there are no other bluetooth devices in the area and then switch both on. If this does not work reconnect wi-fi on watch settings. Why this works I cannot understand but it seems to.
