UGH!
I bought my Venue yesterday. I downloaded the Crystal watch face and I was SOOOO happy with it. Why? Because the always on display was merely a dim of the normal watch face, with some complications (such as watch seconds) not shown in the dimmed version.
So, at this point, I'm happy as a clam and pleased I got this in lieu of the Apple Watch 5.
But...
Then the software update to 3.40 happened.
And in stead of the beautiful display I had, it turned into a junky simplistic display showing only the time and the date in black and white. PATHETIC!!!!! Especially compared to what I had and the Apple Watch.
Honestly, I charge my Venue every night so I don't give a darn about battery life so long as I can get through the day.
Can I revert to the old software version? Or can Garmin program this so that the user can choose between the two - always on "lite" and always on "pretty". I'm thinking of returning it and getting the Apple Watch 5, which has an AOD that POPS. It's gorgeous. I love Garmins though - I have a Fenix 5sPlus, an Edge 520, a Varia, a Venue, a 235, an HRM Tri strap, a speed sensor and more. I don't want to leave the Garmin ecosystem, but gosh!
