Thanks Garmin-Kevin. They’re having me send it back and they’ll replace it with a refurbished one. I just hate to even go a week without my watch!
Garmin Kevin, we had the same problem. GPS worked fine, then suddenly stopped working.
We chatted with support, tried various things, checked GPS version and it was 0.0.
We had already checked for updates…

Software upgrade to 3.20 fixed this issue for me. After software upgrade it request to update firmware for GPS to 6.01.
Resolved.
Hello donnabe82. I'm sorry to hear of the difficulty that you're having acquiring a GPS signal. Please keep in mind that you need to wait to start your activity (timer) and should remain still (do not start running, cycling, walking, etc.) until you see that GPS has connected. If you do not wait for the GPS to connect before you start the timer or begin moving, this will make it more difficult for the watch to connect to GPS.

I have tried this. If I remain still until the GPS connects, I will never run! It JUST. DOES. NOT. CONNECT. EVER. I have tried a hard reset. I live in an area that is wide open without tall buildings, trees, or any obstructions.
If you have completed all steps in the 3 FAQs above, including updating the EPO/CPE and you are still having issues connecting to GPS, I would encourage you to reach out to your local Garmin Product Support Team by telephone.
I have followed the steps in options 1 and 2. However, option 3 does not take me anywhere except the Garmin homepage. I have emailed Garmin. I might get an answer in 3-5 days. Very frustrating and discouraging.
hello Garmin-Kevin my venu sq has also this problem.. GPS version suddenly set to 0.0.. so cant connect to gps satelite.. I think it is garmin software issue.. please fix asap
Garmin-Kevin. Me too, started about a week ago. Never had a problem ever acquiring GPS. Support is going to replace my watch but I am wondering if this is a SW or system issue, and not something wrong with my watch based on the fact that other people are having this problem

rrardian Seeing 0.00 for the GPS version indicates that the watch is no longer running any GPS software. If you sync with Garmin Express and that does not re-install the software, please reach out to your local Garmin Product Support Team.
CindiL This is not a software or a system issue, but an issue with your individual watch. With the high number of devices that are out in use, it is not unforeseen that some other users would experience this same issue.
