Hi, what do you mean your step count is out by 10k steps?
I do know Garmin is aware of the activities stopping, there is a thread on this you can tag Garmin-Kevin to be notified when there will be an update/fix or to send Garmin info about your watch.
Oh ok, from what I have read, when an activity stops an activity of its own accord, it stops recording HR data and pretty much everything else. Super annoying and only happened in one of the last two SW updates. Look at the HR data from yesterday and see if there is a blank area for some of the time you were walking.

Until they fix this, turn up the vibration on your watch so when it buzzes you its going to autosave, you can hit the back button so it continues.
Also, do a hard reset before your activity to clear out the memory. Hold A button down for 10 seconds until the watch turns off (past notifications), then press A button again to turn it back on.
I’ve had mine since it came out last November and never had an issue until now. I can’t imagine what they did that would cause this. Hope they fix it soon though, I find myself looking at my wrist often during activities to make sure its still recording.
