Measurements diapearing from Garmin Connect

So here is what I am observing:

I weigh in on my Garmin Index every morning. If I check Garmin Connect shortly thereafter, it shows all six measurements - weight, body fat, BMI, % water, Muscle Mass, and Bone Mass. Then sometime during the day, all the measurements disappear except for Weight. I have checked Garmin Connect on my PC, Android Phone, and IPad and its the same on all of the, the reset of the measurements are gone.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Dan
• I asked Garmin to confirm an ETA for the fix and whether the data that was being recorded is being stored or lost. The day after i raised a return label from amazon i received the quoted text below in an email from Garmin support.

What is annoying is that with the older wifi forerunners like the 620 you only uploaded when you pressed the connect button and you could have mitigated the issues by uploading before weighing or uploading the next morning. With this permanently connected blutooth setup you don't have the option to easily conrol the connection and unless you want your message notifications popping up on your watch it's not a particularly useful feature

Unfortunately I don't have any good answers for this. It's still being investigated, if the data is still present on the Garmin Connect servers somewhere we will obviously do everything we can to get it restored, but depending on the underlying issue I can't make any guarantees on that. Similarly for the ETA on the fix, without having identified the underlying issue and the fix for that, all I can really say is that it will be fixed as soon as is possible.
Sadly there are no workarounds for this, it isn't an issue with the connection between the scale and Garmin Connect, it's somewhere in Garmin Connect that things go wrong and will need to be fixed.
I appreciate that this is not the response you expected, but I can only offer our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience.

I turn my bluetooth connection *off* on the watch before my swim workouts because my phone is nowhere near the pool. Even after forgetting to turn it back on, when I go to check GC on my phone hours later, my weight data is gone. I suspect it is because when I get home, my Fenix 5s connects to Wi-Fi and does it's updating.

The annoying part is that I changed many of my habits after the new year, as many people do, and I was looking forward to tracking the weight loss progress with the scale, as I wanted to make sure to no lose much muscle in the process. I should have kept it connected to the iPhone's Health app and somehow forced it to sync after weigh-ins.

Add yet another user to the list with this issue. Only my weight is actually tracked in the app. All other metrics either never show up, or disappear, apparently at random. I have been in contact with User Support, though I've gotten no useful help there yet.

I'm using the Index Scale and Vivoactive 3 on an Android phone.
I got the initial reply that a lot of people seem to get when contacting support, which was to disconnect MFP, which I did. It seems to have no actual effect on the problem though. A couple of days after I did that It held onto the data in the Garmin Connect App for maybe 4 or 5 days, then it all disappeared again. As of this morning I can see the full data for yesterday and today.

I get that these can be weirdly complicated programming issues sometimes, but people have been having these issues for MONTHS and gotten no consistent or satisfactory replies. I would send them my app data every day or give them whatever information they wanted, but I've gotten nothing but "Known issue" and "We're working on it". My most recent reply to support included a cc to Garmin VP of Communications Brian Booker, as recommended earlier in this thread. [email protected]

Literally over the course of me typing this my data for this morning’s weigh in disappeared, so there's that...
• add me to the list, started last month. Garmin forerunner 235 and not connected to mfp.
• Add me as well. Fenix 5. The data for bodyfat, bonemass etc are deleted in GC when an activity is synced from f5. Seems to be only for the current day though so maybe a workaround could be to take the weigh-data late in the evening after performed workouts. Not as good as the more stable values in the morning but at least something until Garmin comes with a fix. I will test this.
• A couple of issues to report
I've got an index scale and Garmin Connect isn't displaying the data for it correctly
1 - delta is rarely calculated
2 - Since 18/1 additional data such body fat, body water muscle mass and bone mass aren't being displayed in Garmin Connect. It appears that the data is there somewhere as it appears to display on the card in the "my day" tab.

I did a factory reset on the scales last night and set it up again yet still the same issue. I also deleted data from Garmin Connect, Cleared Cache and set up my device again. Checking the Garmin Connect Web dashboard shows that data was uploaded on 6 Feb, this is despite standing on the scales each day.

I'm on a Galaxy S7
Garmin Connect App Version is 4.3
Index Scale Software Version is 3
Also been syncing with MFP and Strava. Based on advice of this thread just disconnected MFP to see if this makes a difference

Other Garmin Devices
Fenix 3HR
Edge 810

Wife is also Syncing
VivoActive 2

As you can see Garmin we are seriously invested in your ecosystem so we would like to see some action on this one.

Any idea what's happening? This is really annoying....

EDIT: noted that there was Beta Firmware available for the Fenix 3HR so have updated. Watch now running Beta 4.85.
For anyone else that wants the beta firmware the address is https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=10270
I jump on the scales each morning so will report back then.

In a completely unrelated issue not sure the scales are working as they keep telling me i'm not losing any weight.... Oh well...ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1310268.png
• Hi I've same issue since after 20th January, ISS sync GC only weight :(
Moreover, I don't know why but from any weeks appear in GC a ghostweight every day.
I find my weight but I don't use ISS.... If I delete it, it return, very nightmare!!!!!!!
• This is my screenshot of my GC. I got my scale 7 days ago. No missing data. I weight on it and I go to my phone and refresh and its there.ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1310498.jpg

Do yo sync activity/exercise with a watch?
• High hopes and low expectations this morning in Australia. Overnight, my fenix 5x auto updated to firmware version 8.

So so did the usual weigh-in. And the usual disappointing results. All the data except the Delta appeared in GCM. Then I did morning exercises and synced and, as usual, it was all disappeared.

The frustration continues.

Readers may may want to see if asking the people below to encourage their support and marketing colleagues to communicate with us customers about this may incentivise them to find a solution and manage expectations consistently.
