Measurements diapearing from Garmin Connect

So here is what I am observing:

I weigh in on my Garmin Index every morning. If I check Garmin Connect shortly thereafter, it shows all six measurements - weight, body fat, BMI, % water, Muscle Mass, and Bone Mass. Then sometime during the day, all the measurements disappear except for Weight. I have checked Garmin Connect on my PC, Android Phone, and IPad and its the same on all of the, the reset of the measurements are gone.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Dan
  • After update my 935 with 8.00 fw it seems works right, today I have all my data from ISS sync with GC (weight, body fat,......)
  • @Miki73e , do you have your data only on the My Day screen in Garmin Connect Mobile, on today's weight detail screen in GCM, and displayed in Garmin Connect Website?

This morning, for the first time in weeks I had it persist on GCM My Day but not show up anywhere else. I was thinking it was a step in the right direction. But just now several hours later in the same day, it has just disappeared from My Day in GCM and is nowhere else. Deep joy.

As someone in this thread told (or was it some else thread, not sure), there is one way to get around this problem...I use my iphones hotspot to share wifi connection to scale, so I take one measurement in morning with hotspot on and it sync measurements to connect...then I turn hotspot off and take another measurement with scale. Because there are no wifi open, that second measurements are kept in scale until it gets wifi. The first measurements that goes to connect disappear when my fenix5 is synching with connect (only weight is left) because this garmin problem....BUT...when I make the first measurement next day with wifi open, scale sends to connect that previous day second measurement and the first one for current day. Then I again turn wifi off and make again that second measurement that will be in scale until next time you turn wifi on next day.

SO...at least for me this is working and measurements are not disappearing if you sync previous days measurements to scale....only the current day measurements are disappearing when you sync your watch to connect...hope this help some of you and hope garmin gets these problems solved soon....

Respect to the person/people who have come up with such a Byzantine workaround. It does, however, underline the pathetic absence of straightforward, just works, integration and stability in the current Garmin (forgive me) eeeek! oh! system??!

rises the meaning of "smart watch" and "smart scale" on a very special level of meaning.

    Thx Garmin!

BTW - somehow it's sad that Garmin obvisouly doesn't read this thread.

Only from my two posts (and a lot of your's of course also) they had to recogonise the problem:

    1.
Looks like that the problem is solved with GCM 4.1.5.

    2.
I’m quite sure that’s GCM 4.2 causing that problem.

Disconnected MFP and logged out and back in. All data is now recording. We wait to see how long it lasts. Missing data since mid Jan is still gone though

What are Garmin playing at? They are going backwards with major retrograde steps. My WiFi scales no longer transmit the fat % to my phone and also my Garmin Health no longer works. It’s as if they are making their programs worse instead of better FFS!
  • Update: All weight data has been saved for 5 days. HOWEVER, there now appears to be a delay with processing/ saving / getting it to GCM of about 1 - 2 hours. If I check my weight stats in GCM within 10 mins of standing on the phone no data is visible.

I can confirm that there is a "tick" on the scale which means that it's being uploaded to GC.

Things appear to be improving but there is still a long way to go.
