Measurements diapearing from Garmin Connect

So here is what I am observing:

I weigh in on my Garmin Index every morning. If I check Garmin Connect shortly thereafter, it shows all six measurements - weight, body fat, BMI, % water, Muscle Mass, and Bone Mass. Then sometime during the day, all the measurements disappear except for Weight. I have checked Garmin Connect on my PC, Android Phone, and IPad and its the same on all of the, the reset of the measurements are gone.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Dan
  • Fteures , please can you say which watch you are using and the software/firmware installed?

Yesterday I disconnected from MFP, and it works perfect i garmin connect now. I have all data from my index scale.
  • I do not use MFP. until yesterday the data were deleted.

    Today they are still present.

I weighed at 8.00 am it is 2 pm

    Subsidiaries
  • So far so good, I still have my data from the index scale showing weighed at 4:00 am it is almost 3pm. Hope this means a patch was sent last night....
  • TommasoVagnini , I hope this is a good sign. However, my data is still being reliably deleted each day and I am not connected to MyFitnessPal.

Question: does your data persist after you sync an activity such as a run or a cycle/bike from your Garmin watch? And which model of watch and watch firmware?

The correlation I am seeing with my setup ( Fenix 5x and index scale on latest software) is that it is the syncing between watch and Garmin Connect that destroys the data. I see that correlation throughout this thread too.

But it it is for the engineers to establish causation. I just wish they’d get on with it, or at least communicate any progress.
  • after a bike ride The data have been stored

    Fenix 5 with beta 7.93
  • TommasoVagnini , hmmm ... so what's different from your set-up and mine is that you are using the beta firmware for the fenix 5. I am using 7.6 public release version. So it is possible (or a coincidence) that yours is working because the issue is wholly or partly addressed in the beta.

My only hesitation with trying the beta to demonstrate this is that it is said not to be suitable for Asia Pac region and I am in Australia.

It would be interesting to know if your setup continues to work after a few days, and what happens if you connect to MFP ( but you may not want to do MFP). Later, I'll post a question in the firmware beta thread and see if Garmin will tell us if the fix in the beta- although they may not answer.
  • Coincidence.
    This morning weighed.
    no training performed.
    only normal synchro
    lost data
  • That’s a shame, but not unexpected. They’ve just pushed out yet another Garmin Connect Mobile update . I wonder if that will also be a false dawn.
  • Installed the new GCM stepped on the scale all data present did a sync with my FR935 and all data gone except the weight and BMI. I then disconnected MyFitnessPal and tried again stepped on the scale all data present did a sync with my FR935 all data present after multiple sync's all of my data is still there for today's weigh in.
