Measurements diapearing from Garmin Connect

So here is what I am observing:

I weigh in on my Garmin Index every morning. If I check Garmin Connect shortly thereafter, it shows all six measurements - weight, body fat, BMI, % water, Muscle Mass, and Bone Mass. Then sometime during the day, all the measurements disappear except for Weight. I have checked Garmin Connect on my PC, Android Phone, and IPad and its the same on all of the, the reset of the measurements are gone.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Dan
  • I'm SURE this is the problem of watch software. Today TWICE conducted an experiment - weighing, there are data in the GC/GCM, then I connect my Fenix5(7.60) to phone, do a synchronization and ALL ADDITIONAL DATA immediately DISAPPEAR!
    PS MFP is disabledciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1300053.jpg

I just got an email from Garmin Support (French one) stating that they are aware of the problem and currently working on a fix to solve the issue.
Hopefully this will be soon ... fingers crossed.

Same problem here! Everytime I upload an activity from my Forerunner 920XT I lose most of data...only remain weight and BMI. No issue when uploading from edge 520... It could be "activity tracking related"?

I agree. My fenix chronos seems to be responsible for overwriting the index measurement. It replaces the measurement with the weight value stored under user settings/ weight in garmin connect
  • This issue has been escalated and we are actively looking into the cause and a solution. Thank you for your patience.
  • Personnaly, It seems the problem is linked to the connexion between Garmin Connect and MyFintessPal.

After disconnection, weight and all data (BMI, etc) are kept and displayed in GC.
I tried to make several synchronisation between GC and my devices (Garmin D2 Barvo) and no problem occured. All data is displayed and kept in mermory on GC.
Therefore, I think that at least part of the problem is linked to the synchronisation with MFP...

Hopefully Garmin is now aware of the problem and will solve it quickly.

no, it's not related to myfitnesspal.
    I do not use it.
last night I installed the 7.91 firmware, but the problem continues.
Now I have installed the 7.00 firmware.
    I text now, if the problem is related to firmware 7.1 - 7.54 - 7.56 - 7.91

Downgrade to the software version 7.00
More than 10 hours have passed and no balance data has been deleted for now.
Before installing version 7.00 I had installed the beta version, 7.91 is the problem that was still there.

    Hi,

They told me the same about the issue I face since 7 months now about my fat mass stuck either at 6% or 7% since I bought it.
They stated there is nothing else they can do as the bug as been tagged as Minor by Garmin's team ...
So I got an useless scale that I bought to follow my fat mass trend since I bought the Index "smart" (let me laugh) scale.

  • I have the same problem, I didn't notice it was related to the updates from my Forerunner 935, but I also have version 7.6. It started January 15th.
I sent an email to garmin support few minutes ago.
  • I have the same problem. Only some records have all data. Many now only show weight.

So do I. After upload new training from Garmin Fenix 5s, the data in garmin accaunt is lost. Update from MyFitnessPal or Strava overwrite information that was previously loaded with Garmin Index.
  • Downgrade to the software version 7.00

Please can you let us know how to downgrade the software? Where to get it and how to install?
    • If you would like to revert to the last public release software, drop the gupdate.gcd file, found in the System_Backdate_v700 folder, into the \GARMIN folder of the device.
    • NOTE: If you revert to an older version of software, all of your settings will be reset to defaults.
upload the file to my site
