Measurements diapearing from Garmin Connect

So here is what I am observing:

I weigh in on my Garmin Index every morning. If I check Garmin Connect shortly thereafter, it shows all six measurements - weight, body fat, BMI, % water, Muscle Mass, and Bone Mass. Then sometime during the day, all the measurements disappear except for Weight. I have checked Garmin Connect on my PC, Android Phone, and IPad and its the same on all of the, the reset of the measurements are gone.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I am glad that I found this thread.
I was using Fitbit Aria scales until the end of December when I bought the Smart Scales and the correct information was shown in the iPhone app, well at least for one day. But when I wanted to use the data and compare different weeks I found like everyone else that only the weight and BMI remained.
I bring up the the Aria scales because I used to notice that Garmin Connect would show entries most days, even though I only weigh myself once a week.
Looking back at my weight history I see that the daily "phantom" entries started on August 10th 2017.
I did not care back then as the Aria only sent the weight via MFP to GC, but I bought the Smart Scales to integrate all the data in one place (Fitbit and MFP are disconnected).
I do not believe that this is an issue with the scales. I have also used 3 different Garmin watches (235, 735XT and 935) with the same daily weight entries.
Looking at the weight report within MFP over the last 12 months I see only discrete entries on the days I actually weighed myself so it would appear that GC is not sending them outside of GC every day.
Interestingly the only day that I do not have a phantom weight entry in GC is Saturday 20th - my phone was off for 6 hours while I was running an ultra marathon (3am start time).
What I find really strange, apart from the phantom entries, is that the iPhone app will show the correct stats on the "My Day" page, but when I tap on the 3 bars and go into the 7 day weight page only the weight and BMI is showing. I typically weigh after a run, and after that run activity has been synced - approx 30 minutes after.
I am going to weigh myself in the morning, as I am not running until the evening and see what happens to the weight stats with GC.
Iphone GC version is the latest 4.2.2 with 935 version 7.60.0.0

Weigh-in this morning with iPhone app off and no activity showed that although the scales in GC web have the right sync time and weight they do not show any entry for today. Fired up the iPhone app and confirmed all the stats were on the main page after a sync, but not in the 7 day page. Took a screen shot of the main page so that I have a record.
Weighed myself 3 times with a 5 minute gap between them, also removed my weight goal from GC (just in case). No difference.
MFP shows the correct weight (just the last weigh-in from GC as expected).
I am going to check throughout the day to see what approx time GC puts my weight into the 7 day page - I don't expect there to be any other details with it, but I am wondering if there is some backend server sync that only occurs once a day.

Once I got to work this morning the 7 day page showed my weight stats correctly - I checked at about 9am and they were there.
Checked again at lunch time - about 1pm - and they were still there.
Just checked again this afternoon - at 4pm - and they were gone!! No activity today yet.

So there appears to be a lag between the weigh-in and it seeing it in the 7 day page, and then between 1 and 4pm they disappear (luckily I have a screenshot of them). My time zone is +8 GMT.
I may use the scales this evening and see what happens to the stats.
  • Issue has not stopped occurring after removing MFP coupling form GCM. Weighed myself this morning (before syncing the Fenix 5). Checked GCM: everything was fine. Synced the Fenix _. extra data gone. Re-weighed myself -> data entered GCM again. Fenix has been syncing throughout the day -> no issues. Did not record an exercise through the Fenix today.
  • update:
    1) this morning I weigh myself
    2) check garmin connect and verify that the data are present
    3) start a registration, save it
    4) synchronize the fenix 5 with connect 4.2.2
    5) check the data of fat mass, water etc.
    6) surprise, the data disappeared

    I repeat:
    I do not use myfitnesspall
I do not use apple health
all disconnected on iphone and mac.

Garmin, it will be possible that you do not read this trend
Wake up we did 50 free tests

    Garmin connect 4.2.2
    Fenix 5 7.60

    update 2
    I weighed myself
    after 2 hours
normal sincronization and deleted the data
    fenix overwrites the data

    I quoto myself
with my fitness pal disconnected the data are deleted the same.
the data is canceled also with the synchronization of the daily data.

    the problem is:
the fenix synchronizes the weight to garmin connect.
the fenix only saves the weight so the extra data is removed from GC

    Fenix 5s, software version 7.60.
    Garmin Connect 4.2.2.1
same issues as described since 19th Jan 2018.
    Not using MFP.
    - Weigh in on scales
    - all data is on the app
    - later in the day data is gone

So very frustrating. My life time dataset is destroyed.
I can’t even enter manually as Garmin won’t allow manual upload of anything other than basic weight data.
Perhaps if Garmin would finally allow multiple weight measurements in a day, then we could simply delete the data that we don’t want to keep? But no, Garmin insists on only storing one measurement per day, unlike it’s competitors.
I had thought I was upgrading when switching from fitbit to Garmin, but the list of software issues I have is beyond a joke.
FIX IT GARMIN! FIX IT NOW!
  • Systematically using MFP everyday, and synching activities every other day as well. The problem had disappeared for some time (weeks) by itself, and re-appeared again yesterday and today. Today I've been witnessing two disappearing set of metrics while looking a them upon a refresh. The very odd thing, as someone already noted above, is that the body fat and the rest of the metrics are gone on Garmin Connect portal, are not show on GCM on the short today summary page, but are shown in the detail today page. Yet, them being only there, they get useless as they're not shown anymore anywhere starting from tomorrow.

    Any solution to this yet??
Very disappointed in the index scale I just purchased. Weight only. So much for the other measurements that are lost.
  • (Also) reported the issue to Garmin and got the response that it is (surprise surprise) a known issue and that they're working on a solution, although they could (or would) not give any indication as to when a solution will be delivered (as a software update for the watch)
  • I actually think this a watch software issue. I tried out the 935 beta a few weeks back and the problem started, I then disconnected MFP and the problem remained. I downgraded back to version 7.1 and the problem went away. I have now upgraded to the general release NON beta 7.6 and the problem has returned. It is very very frustrating.

Personnaly, It seems the problem is linked to the connexion between Garmin Connect and MyFintessPal.

After disconnection, weight and all data (BMI, etc) are kept and displayed in GC.
I tried to make several synchronisation between GC and my devices (Garmin D2 Barvo) and no problem occured. All data is displayed and kept in mermory on GC.
Therefore, I think that at least part of the problem is linked to the synchronisation with MFP...

Hopefully Garmin is now aware of the problem and will solve it quickly.
