Measurements diapearing from Garmin Connect

So here is what I am observing:

I weigh in on my Garmin Index every morning. If I check Garmin Connect shortly thereafter, it shows all six measurements - weight, body fat, BMI, % water, Muscle Mass, and Bone Mass. Then sometime during the day, all the measurements disappear except for Weight. I have checked Garmin Connect on my PC, Android Phone, and IPad and its the same on all of the, the reset of the measurements are gone.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Dan
  • Same here. Data are disappearing after sync an activity.
See added pics from Garmin Connect - weight data from the morning, after an sync during the day (no activity done) - data still available. Sync after an activity - no data anymore.
Weird is that (as allready mentioned TommasoVagnini) on the "My day" screen on GMC the data are still visible.

    Garmin - please fix it!ciq.forums.garmin.com/.../1285311.jpg
  • Looks like that the problem is solved with GCM 4.1.5.

Same problem here! Everytime I upload an activity from my Forerunner 920XT I lose most of data...only remain weight and BMI. No issue when uploading from edge 520... It could be "activity tracking related"?
  • I have this problem too. I contacted MFP premium support and asked them if they were sorting it out with Garmin (there's plenty of chat about this issue on both sides of support fora and elsewhere online). They didn't answer the question - imagine that! – and suggested I disconnect MFP and reconnect it again. I've done the disconnect part of that and will leave it disconnected for a few days to see if the problem stops and then reconnect again with no other variable to see if the evidence mounts. I've also ask MFP to address my actual question again. And I've contacted Garmin support with similar but not heard back. Meantime, today while no longer connected to MFP and isolating Connect from all input from IOS Health, my data disappeared again. This may be because I changed my activity level from 9 to 8, as it happened immediately after that .... or it may not be. In any-case I'll change nothing else and see what happens. It'd be great if the whole Garmin software/sync side of things wasn't so un-robust.

I was having the same issue also. Disconnected Garmin Connect from MyFitnessPal and also deleted the app (I wasn't using it anyway) and now have retention of the full metrics since that change.

seems to be OK now...I have turned off activity tracking from my 920XT (only use vivosmart3 for that) and after uploading tonight run I'm still able to see all weight data
  • Got the same problem: losing all the weight-data except weight itself, only on the days I sync an activity from my Fenix 5s after weighing.
Come-on Garmin: react on this issue!

Strangest thing is: on the expanded MyDay screen in GC Mobile on iOS the weight does show all the other weight data!!!

Update: no sync with MyFitnessPal, nor with any other 3rd party service, but still losing (other than) weight data.

    a little update...

despite I turned off "activity tracking" on my FR920XT I lost Monday data from GC. Yesterday I did another run and I did updload it manually on GC taking .fit files from Activity folder on my watch. As for now I'm still able to read all weight data in GC...
It might be a GC mobile upload issue...

edit: just syncronized with my vivosmart3 and I lost yesterday values... PISSED OFF
  • I have the exact same issue.
No problem using the scale and uploading to GC, but after some time it only shows weight/BMI in GC. (have not figured out excactly what the trigger is yet)

After uploading from the scale, the weight is also syncing to my Vivoactive 3 (weight only), and I suspect maybe that data then later is synced back from the watch to GC overwriting the data from the scale?
In the calender I also automatically get a new weight point every single day (weight only, value from the day before), suspect this is also coming from the watch.

Seems like Garmin has major issues related to syncing in general. Coming from FitBit I see now that I've taken these things for granted... You have a long way to go Garmin!
  • Update on my post quoted below: four days in after disconnecting my fitness pal. No loss of weigh in data detail in GC or GCM. MFP support wrote back and asked me to let them know what happens when I reconnect, which I'll do after keeping it disconnected for a week. Meantime I do at least two activities a day (cycling, sometimes running) while I've been disconnected from MFP, having these activities sync from my fenix 5x has not been followed by loss of index scale metrics. In the meantime I am running my own mini spreadsheet stored in iCloud into which I manually enter total food cals consumed reading from MFP and total active cals from GC then subtracting 300 (this has been the average of how much GC was adrift in the last six months) and this way can still have cals in-out facility - even if I have to do it manually. Hopefully when I reconnect MFP next week it'll all fall into place - but I do doubt that .... (I'll update then)
