Index scale missing user

My Garmin Index Scale is handling two users, and it's been working fine.
Today my girlfriend complained there is only my name on the display, hers has dissiperad? :confused:
My own is still working fine.

The product about 2 months old and working fine.

Any suggestions why?

  • I had two weeks of no issue with the initial change route. Today I’m having to go in and change initials again. 

    It doesn’t appear this issue is a priority to Garmin so I won’t be at all surprised if we see index scales v2 coming out.

  • I'm not showing up again. Getting tired if this work around I need to do every 2 days!  $145 piece of garbage!!

  • This issue is really frustating, hope a solution is provided soon.

    I returned my index to garmin australia for diagnostics. I was getting a big x on all metrics apart from weight and bmi, as well as second user dropping out.

    Garmins reply was that the scale is faulty, and hs been discontinued and are offering a refund.

  • Strange, according to their website it's still for sale.

  • Ours has been working again for the last 2 weeks. I un-invited then re-invited my wife, and it's been OK ever since. Not sure how long it will last though. Bit concerned if they're going to discontinue the scales though - I can't imagine they will maintain the firmware if they do.

    Yes. I noticed that. Officeworks and jbhifi still have them. Sounds like either a lame excuse, or running out stock before index 2?

    My solution was to get the refund from Garmin, then buy new scale (same model) model at reduced price from Officeworks.

    Hopefully we can be up and running again soon.

  • Same issue here. Added wife, she accepted, worked once, but now when she weighs, the scale doesn’t show her as a user. Even if she chooses the question mark/guest, the scale overwrites my own weigh in (I get up before her) with her data. That makes the scale less than useless for both of us! Not only does she not get tracking, but my data gets replaced with hers!

  • When I checked the website (garmin connect) a couple of days ago it showed that an update was available/scheduled.  Ever since logging into the garmin connect website and messing with the scale from there I have not had any issues.

    Also worth noting: During the time the scale wasn't working, my garmin was not adding my workouts to my office 365 calendar.  Not sure if the two issues were related.  My workouts have not been showing back up on my calendar.
