Scale not registering - Body Fat %, Water %, Muscle Mass & Bone Mass

I've just bought the Index Scale, which by some stroke of luck unlike some others I had no problem linking to my Connect account.

The problem I am having is that the scale is not registering any of the metrics for Body Fat %, Water %, Muscle Mass & Bone Mass. Regardless of where I stand on the scale all I am getting is the Weight & BMI

The Weight & BMI is being uploaded to Connect, however the other metrics don't appear there either.

Although I don't believe it's a Garmin Connect issue, I've tried numerous resets & reconnects using both WPS & GCM set-ups without success in getting the additional metrics.

The scale is running F\W 2.50.0.0, although it was running 2.40.0.0 when I first got it and had some difficulty in getting the F/W to update, but got there in the end.

Is anyone else having issues where the above metrics are not being recorded?

    I'm having exactly the same issues with MFP wiping out all additional metrics apart from weight. I can't believe after all this time (is it two years now?!) that this MAJOR bug has not yes been resolved. Garmin, you claim MFP integration in to your platform, we've all paid good money for a premium product, FIX THIS PROBLEM NOW!!!!

  • Works for most people. If you're having an issue call Product Support so they can troubleshoot your particular problem.

    And I think your advice to Miki73e is spot on. Calling product support is the way to go for help and also to ensure that Garmin's gets to know about issues and how widespread they are.

    On "works for most people". Please can you share the empirical basis for that statement, or the Garmin authority as the source? I have no idea whether the issues being discussed in this thread ...

    ... I have no idea whether they affect "most people" or not. I do know that they affect enough people to fill up many pages of thread and many of those people are feeling frustrated. And I also note the post from Garmin-Blake within the thread that "This issue has been escalated and we are actively looking into the cause and a solution."

    Further, I was informed by Garmin support (when they sent my scale back to me) that the issue is classed as "major" and they acknowledged that it was not a MFP/Garmin integration-specific issue.
  • Hi all, excuse me for my last post but I'm very angry. My smart scale, like so many others, works for about... 2 weeks? 1 month? After this period balance sync only weight in GC and nothing else.
    moreover, since 1 month ago in Calendar of GC I find add weight without any use of balance.
    for this kind of issue garmin doesn't support, it's not product defective but something in smart scale software or GC software.
    I found this issue discussion in many forum, and since many time, this is the reason of my angry :(
    garmin still dorsn't fix this issue, index smart scale is not a core product but they must guarantee to fix it
  • This is a known issue and the only thing we can do is to contact Support and make sure they understand the scale of the situation...

    I chatted with support today on this issue and they added me to a "to be updated email list" hopefully the longer the email list the higher the priority for the dev team to fix this asap... (this has been running for far too long now).

    Nothing this forum can do, but Garmin support can certainly log and report back to their respective product teams... this is what they are for (interface between users and Garmin internal product teams).

  • Since today I also have the problem with the big X.
    In the last four months it has worked and calculated all values. But the values were lost in combination with the Fenix because of the poor synchronization mechanism.
    Perhaps this is Garmin's solution to repair the synchronization by not even calculating the values? Where nothing is, nothing can be synchronized.
