Why has "Find my phone" stopped working?

The "Find my phone" feature used to work fine, but it seems to have stopped doing so.  As a test I can have the phone right next to me, and it even connects to my Garmin Connect, but if I click the "Find my phone" feature it shows "Waiting for phone" then shows "Connected" and that message stays there.  If I press the "Find my phone" button again it says "Connection Disabled."

The Connect app does have phone permissions allowed and everything between the phone and Garmin Connect seem to work fine except for just the "Find my phone" feature.  Also, both my phone and 935 both have no issue connecting to my WiFi.  Any ideas?

  • I'm with you, I do not even get that error message. Just add it to the long list of issues with Garmin devices that will never get attention and may only get fixed by accident in an update many years from now.

  • I just checked again, and it is still broken.  They may not fix it, but only have it working in the next device you buy.

  • Have you tried to unpair and re-pair the device from phone / GC and redo.?

    1. Remove watch from BT settings on phone

    2. Delete GC app from phone

    3. Soft reset watch (hold in light switch until watch shuts down completely, then after say 20s , restart it)

    4. Restart phone

    5. Reinstall GC app and sign in

    6. Re-Pair watch to Phone / GC app.
