You maybe right Steve....I reproduced what is on Garmin's tech spec sheets for the devices. I too have the Tri and also the Run and Swim and as a practical matter rotate useage of Tri & Run to keep battery…
You'll get the same data from both. The only difference is the Tri can be used for swimming and it can store HR data that can be transferred later should you do an activity where you can wear a strap, but it isn't practical to have the watch on your wrist.
Thanks for the reply. That's actually really good news. As I like Suunto Bluetooth Smart HR better than Garmin because you can change the belt or sensor separately, in Garmin's it's fixed.
So for example if I'll buy Garmin 945, Suunto Bluetooth Smart HR belt will work with it perfectly fine?
