Why i love my screen protector

Reasons why I love my screen protector, see photo, in particular top of the watch face. I wear my 935 24/7, have done so since I received it a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday I accidentally banged my wrist on our granite countertop edge, the 935 sustained zero damage. Had I not had this screen protector on, no doubt the screen could have been scratched up/cracked, and for $7.99 I have a new Rerii screen protector made for the 735 on the way from Amazon. I have found that this size glass screen protector fits very well. The light reflecting on the watch screen are the undercabinet lights reflecting so please ignore.
  • Just put on the BROTECT AirGlass Flexible. Easy to apply, no bubbles. Brilliant transparency and fingerprint resistent.
  • After trying the Boxwave clear touch glass screen protector (which left a sizable open edge around the entire screen) I ordered the Exuun glass and it is so much better! Fits as close to the edge of the glass as it can possibly be and it is absolutely crystal clear. It is perfect, I can't even see it. And less money than the Boxwave. I'm going to send this photo back to the Boxwave rep that I was dealing with who told me that they designed theirs purposely with the space around the edge so that you could get it off. Well, I can lift this one off too no problem. I want them to see what it's supposed to look like.

  • That was me too :D

Sent them a number of pictures showing the issue and they are sending me replacements as well.

I am betting they just decided to sell what they have on Amazon as being for the 935 and now that they have the money will send the corrected size, now that they can do that without having to get a watch as they are using my pics to determine the correct size now I think. Hope it works. I also think we won't see the replacements for a few weeks as I am betting they are now shipping them from China.

Finally just got replacements and can say they are now the correct size. Installation was pretty easy and transparency and finger print resistance are both really good.

Assume when you order now you will get the replacement version they sent me.

thanks for update. and while i have no need for another since i still have a second Exuun available for backup, i thought the community might want to know: how much "extra space" is there between the bezel. as has been noted previously, the Exuun is maybe 0.5-1.0mm smaller in diameter. i wasn't able to line my up perfectly but i can verify that mine doesn't appear to collect much dust, if any. so i am guessing that's small enough :)
  • I got my Brotect Airglass Flexible yesterday and managed to center it quite well. No bubbles, not noticable.

I also think the display got a very little bit darker with the protector on. This is no issue to me as it is better visible now since it is not covered with fingerprints all the time as before! Very happy with it. It also gives the display some "sharpness" IMO. And now i finally don't need to worry about scratches so much anymore (did some climbing last weekend and cut out a piece of an old phone screenprotector I still had. It looked quite awful but when bumping into some rocks I was quite happy about my "interim solution" :o ).
  • Adding to my comment above:

Do I need to worry about water/showering/swimming with the Brotect screenprotector on the display? Any experience from anyone?
I usually shower with the watch on after an activity to clean it - is shampoo and such things a problem for the protector?
  • I had a Brotect AirGlass on my fenix 3 for about 1 1/2 years and never had any problems with it when swimming, rinsing the watch off or doing other things involving water, I would expect the same from the FR935 protector.

Not at all; I've used glass protectors with Garmin watches for years, and shower with them sitting on the shampoo bottle every day.

As an aside, though, I will say that the Brotect screen really doesn't fit the watch any better than the ones made for the 735xt that i tried, though. They all seem about the same size to me.

That said, it doesn't really bother me that much. They're easy to get on and off with just a fingernail, and cheap.
  • Received my Brotect AirGlass and I'm rather disappointed by the fit as there is a visible gap so you can tell there's a protector : - ( Very annoying since the AirGlass for the FR235 was a perfect fit and as a result was completely invisible.

Hopefully one of these companies will take the proper measurements at some point!

Too bad that it doesn't fit your watch...
I received my Brotect AirGlass protector last week and it fits absolutely perfect! http://www.ebay.nl/itm/361966870846?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l6004&_trkparms=gh1g%3DI361966870846.N41.S1.R1.TR1

Application went very well, and it is centered perfectly. The gap between the edge of the protector and the bezel is really small, only noticable
when looking at it closely. It's even harder to take a proper picture of it :p

Regarding fingerprints, it gets nowhere as greasy as the screen itself. And they can be wiped off easier as well.

I had a Brotect on my Fenix 5 as well, and when I swapped it for the 935 I had to remove the protector... Well that took some effort! It sticks really well and would only come off
when poking on the edge of the protector with a thin plastic card long enough until a bubble apeared which made me able to raise it from the screen.
