Has anyone tried files processed through my program on the 735? I am hearing that they behave badly on the Edge 510 and FR 920xt. I think I have fixed this, just wondering whether I should be asking one of you good people to do some testing for me before releasing.
Tried today downloading a TCX Course file from Strava and processing with your program and loading on to 735XT in Newfiles area. File transfers fine and the course loads, but no Turn by Turn directions are provided, just Off Course / On Course Notification and Bread Crumb map using this method. I did not try loading into GC as an Activity and then using this to create a Course and then loading on to 725, but suspect this would provide TbT directions then.

Strava course TCX exports that I've looked at don't include coursepoints for turns, and my program doesn't add them, just converts whatever coursepoints are in the original TCX file, so that is what I'd expect to happen. Reassuring to know that it doesn't refuse to ingest it, though (which apparently is the case with the 510. The files output by the current version are the same as you would get from Training Center...)
ETA: for 735 users, the only advantage of 3rd party courses is text for road names, and I'm not particularly encouraging you to use my program, just making sure that if you do, it will work properly. :)
Ok tested again with RidewithGPS TCX file and MCBadger you are corect, this worked fine running through your tool and loading into NewFiles on 735. It does not provide Road Names however, it works just like using GC Courses with just distance to turn and direction of turn indication.
On another note Right Turn designation is masked by Varia Radar symbol on the 735 and you cannot see it, but you can see Straight and Left turns which indicate in the center of the top of the screen. Also still no turn indication on the Varia Vision, would be awesome if they added this.
Just plotted a 20 mile run and using a 'course' to navigate, it would not zoom in to the my current location - only the zoomed in/out based on the entire route.

Can I just create a course with garmin basecamp on a routable map and send it to the 735xt to get the tbt screen/information on the device? Thanks
Can someone summarize the steps on how to port a GPX course from Strava to 735xt in the minimum number of steps using the minimum number of 3rd party tools? Can you also include links to the tools as well? I am confused about the process ...
