Garmin Connect app shows watch is connected, but Connect IQ app does not find device.

Garmin Connect shows the device as connected. I downloaded the Connect IQ app, but when I try to download an app it just says "Already have your Garmin Device?" "Please refer to your Quick Start Manual for pairing instructions."

When I go to the Quick Start Manual it tells me to use the Garmin Connect app to connect, which I did, and it is connected.

Am I doing something wrong?

I have an iPhone XS running iOS version 12.4.1.

  • I have the same problem with Venu 2 and iOS 15.3.1, started today morning. Two days ago, everything was ok, yesterday I was not able to save the settings of any watch face, connect iq was always throwing me to welcome page (like after fresh install), resetting previous watch face settings, today I am not able to see my device.

  • Epix 2 + iOS 15, Connect IQ is unable to see the device. Exact same issue here. Gotta be something to do with the IQ app right ? Or a conflict with one of the apple updates. Any idea when this will be resolved ?

    Yesterday it was impossible to change and save setting on IQ stuff, all apps and watch faces reverting to default settings (this thing was driving me nuts). 
    Today no device connected. 

    I wrote to customer support and waiting for a reply. 
    I don’t think there’s anything we can do other than waiting for them to fix the issue on their servers. 

    What I find really disappointing is that a connection to a remote server is actually needed even to just change settings of the watch face (or, for instance, to add in the hydration tracking widget).

    I wonder what percentage of functionality of the watch is completely lost without an internet connection and a smartphone… very disappointing 

  • Same issue on Samsung S22 Ultra and Fenix 7 Solar.  Tried everything suggested and it still does not connect.  

  • Having same problem 7x and iPhone connected and syncing fine but can’t connect to app IQ

  • Same issue 7x iPhone 13… sync fine but no connection to Iq app.

  • I have the Garmin finex 7x for three days, yesterday- Connect IQ doesn't work. Try to the same method and it doesn't not work either. Reset the finex, like starting  as new but still not working.

  • Connect IQ has just come back on.  Someone must have hit reset on the server ;)

  • Same problem here since 1 day ago. Was working perfectly fine with my EPIX2 and iPhone. Now, EPIX2 is not showing up in the ConnectIQ app. My older F935 shows up and works fine.
