Garmin Connect app shows watch is connected, but Connect IQ app does not find device.

Garmin Connect shows the device as connected. I downloaded the Connect IQ app, but when I try to download an app it just says "Already have your Garmin Device?" "Please refer to your Quick Start Manual for pairing instructions."

When I go to the Quick Start Manual it tells me to use the Garmin Connect app to connect, which I did, and it is connected.

Am I doing something wrong?

I have an iPhone XS running iOS version 12.4.1.

I had the same exact problem in both iOS 12 and iOS 13. To solve it, I had to:

Delete the Garmin Connect IQ app
Delete the Garmin Connect app
On the Edge unit, “Forget” the phone.
On the iPhone -> Settings -> Bluetooth, forget both Edge devices.
Re Install the Garmin Connect app
Re install the Garmin app
Start the Garmin app, and re pair the Edge unit

After successful pairing and sync’ing, the Edge unit shows connected in the Connect IQ app.

Thanks. I had he same issue on an iPhone running IOS 15.1. hq's fix worked for me too

I have this issue between my fenix7 and iphone. I attempted the fix hq recommended but was unsuccessful. This may be because I was unable to figure out how to complete step 3 'On the Edge unit, Forget the phone' and skipped it. Have others figured this out?

I have the same issue my Venu 2. I was thinking it might be a result of running the beta firmware on my Venu 2

Me too. I just received my new Venu 2s yesterday. Updated the firmware last night. Since this morning, ConnectIQ is not able to detect the Venu2s. Connect app has no issues. Need help. Thx.

I was experiencing this too. Now i think this is software issue. Ive been removing n reinstalling my apps since morning. I guess we need to wait they resolve the matter

Same here. Installed and removed both Connect and Connect IQ multiple times, restarted iPhone and watch multiple times, paired multiple times as well. Surprisingly, Garmin Express Mac App which is Connect IQ for the Mac works perfectly well. Means the problem is definitely with the Connect IQ app. Suggest you download Garmin Express in the interim.
