Music folder missing, cannot play own music or podcasts or use spotify

I put Spotify onto my watch and then lost access to my own music.

I tried syncing with Spotify and kept getting sync failed message. Once it synced to 1% and then failed.
I did a hard reset and tried again. Same issues.

I removed spotify from my account and plugged watch into laptop. Put new podcasts on watch via garmin express & iTunes and cable. The podcasts are there when I go into the music controls, but nothing will play.


When I press power off button, there is no music icon in amongst sync, do not disturb , wallet icons etc.

can any anyone help? THis was there previously and I only bought Spotify premium to use on my watch. So frustrating not to be able to play anything now!

    I have the same problem when installing Amazon music.

  • Same problem with Amazon Music.

    I installed it, but I could not use it. An issue with synchronization of my playlist first, and secondly a GPS issue to set my location. I also realized that as soon as Amazon music was installed, there was no way to select my local (on watch) music (add-on or "instead-on"?).

    I tried to uninstall the Amazon music add-on, but it was impossible from my watch or mobile. Only plugged to my windows PC i could uninstall it.

    Now my local music is back, but the "music library" icon is missing. Fortunately a blank icon is there showing nothing but it is still functional.

    I have also noticed battery drain from my "unistallation".

    DEAR Developers: Please do not release beta version of these add-ons. It is preferable to wait longer. As customer, I deserve better experiences.

  • Let me correct. No batter drain, but even thoug I can see playlist, artist, albums and songs, I CANNOT PLAY them.

    I have removed and uploaded muy mysic again with garmin connect but same problem.

    Please, aswer needed. Senseless to have a music wath with no music.

    Me too, spotify is on the watch and can't load anything else. Have no 'My Music' or 'Source' functions at all. Very poor, given this was reported > 1 year ago.

    The same problem for me on a brand new watch. I can only see Spotify. It’s synced the same iTunes playlists music to my watch twice taking up double the space but only shows Spotify.

    I had the same issue with my Garmin Felix 5 Plus....added Amazon music and then all of my loaded ITunes music and podcast seemed to disappear.  Did a full reboot and added the watch back to Garmin and the music is back once again.

    Hard reboot of the watch is the only thing I could get to work....
