Scosche Rhythm 24

Hello, anyone out there had the opportunity to use the new Scosche Rhythm 24? It's so new probably not. Anyway I received mine yesterday 6/2/18 and although today Sunday is a scheduled rest day for me I decided I'd give a try while using my treadmill. I wasn't able to get it to connect to my FR 645 or Fenix 5s with Ant+ but Bluetooth works flawlessly but that does me no good because I use another device (Apple Watch 3) with Bluetooth. My Rhythm+ works fine with all 3 devices and connecting/pairing the Rhythm 24 to a device is not that difficult but I could be missing something. Anyway just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this new device. Thanks

    Hello
I haven't ordered my Rhythm24 yet -- actually I am not satisfied with their customer support.
They could not answer any simple question -- I hope someone here will !

My question for the owners is:
What is the actual procedure to DOWNLOAD the registered data from the onboard memory ?
I mean: you use the Rhythm without any other device (e.g. you run or swim for one hour).
    And then ?
Is it possible to download the data using their Iphone application ? (RhythmSync ?)
    Or which application ?

I have also a ANT+ dongle for PC.
They did not know if it is possible to sync with a PC, and using with which program ... Useless !!!

    Thanks
    Jim

The customer support is so terrible. I sent 3 emails to them and I have not got any reply.

Scosche are clearly a small company, and in my mind they have done well to develop the successful R+, and the R24 looks like a very satisfactory follow on product. I bought one. I suspect that not many people at the company are fully versed in the design details and able to answer specific technical questions that are not already answered in the available documents.
They are not Apple, who also ship products with bugs and ignore your emails.
My observation is that your best bet for queries is the comments sectionnin the dcrainmaker web page on the R24, which someone from Scosche is monitoring and usefully responding on.
To answer your specific question, I have made a short recording standalone of heart rate and saved it to the iPhone app. The monitor needs to be connected to access the relevant pages of the app, but from the app the recorded data can be shared with a list of services I don't use so can't test (e.g Strava) and also exported to the normal range of support apps like email and Dropbox. I only clicked through to email and cancelled out, but the attachment is named as a .fit file.
So far as i have found, there is no PC application.
  • I've done two 'walking' activities with the R24 now, both times I got (aerobic) training effect numbers reported through. I have the R24 in heart rate only mode

Mine bricked a couple of days ago. I got Scosche customer service on the phone and the rep had no idea how to reset the thing or even if you could. He took my phone number and said he'd get back with me. Hasn't in two days so I guess I'll call again. On the few days it worked it was giving spikes and strange readings, so I probably got a bum one, but on the whole I'm much more satisfied with the Wahoo TickrFit.

What do you mean by bricked? because mine software bricked when updating and now i have a steady green light.. (it told me in the app that i should let it run out of battery and again recharge and it should function afterwards, but sadly now it won't connect to anything and is just "software bricked" )

anybody else having the same issue?

Does anyone check device compatibility on https://www.thisisant.com/directory/
  • I have got a R24 yesterday. Trying to play around with it. I have notice the .fit file export from the Rhythm sync app is not able to be upload through Garmin Connect. IF the HR data is not able to upload through the watch, it is basically useless strap.
  • I turn on my r24, press the top right button on the fr645m to go to activities. It shows the r24 as connected. I do my activity, i get hr data from it into the watch. Later I see the hr data for the activity in Garmin connect on the phone. I don't seem to have any missing metrics for the activity using the r24 for hr monitoring.

It seems to be ok for activities other than swimming. But for me, I am getting R24 for swimming specifically. Also it seems connected to my Fenix 5x on and off. Will lost connection from time to time and reconnect.
