I just put a generic Vivoactive 3 protector on (0.3mm; 9H Hardness, 2.5D Rounded Edges) (used an Australian supplier so it would be quick). It fits well and I cant tell it is there.
Hopefully Wimaha is good. It comes in tomorrow. I would be curious about the MIHENCE durability since reviews for Wimaha durability isn't so good. But I'll take any screen protector instead of none.
I have the Mihence protector on mine and seems to adhere well, but only had it on 2 days so far. I am guessing I will have the same experience in a few days, let's see.
I’m not having as much luck. I had a screen protector left over for my Fenix 5s. Tried it but it was too big. So i ordered a pack for VA3 and they too were too big. They overlapped the bezel a very small amount so wouldn’t adhere. Since the VA3 and 645 have the same specs I’m hesitant to buy more. Is it possible Garmin has different manufacturers or suppliers that cause the difference? Mine is also one of the ones with the slight glow when backlight is off. Hmmmm.
Hi, I'm new to this so hope this works and is appropriate. Just my two pennyworth but I'm struggling with a screen protector for the 645. I've fitted screen protectors to my Fenix 3 HR and Epix, and just about every phone iPad etc. I own because they are precious to me and think they sell better second hand if in mint condition. I always buy AtFolix clear protectors if possible as they are great quality and next to invisible when fitted. My daughter had a vivoactive 3 and she offered me a spare screen protector for my newly purchased 645 and I can confirm it was too big !! Jealous of my watch she traded in her VA3 for a 645 and we both fitted the aforementioned protectors. They looked great and fitted a treat, BUT.............. we BOTH had difficulties when we then attached the charging cable, The clamp fits against the actual screen rather than the bezel (as it does with my Epix) and in doing so it lifted the edge slightly and let a small bubble in :( Although this bubble disappeared once the clamp was released it re-appeared each time the clamp was re-attached :( We've now decided to remove the protectors and abandon the idea altogether. So glad I chipped in with my first ever forum post ! No, the Fenix 3 sat in a cradle so wasn't an issue. I would point out that the AtFoliX was a soft flexible 'plasticky' material and this may be why it distorted just very slightly at the edge ? Thanks to chimpware for the details of a tempered glass design, the stiffness may be the difference, and thanks to Lucinda, I'm going to investigate nano liquid for sure.
Based on your recommendation I brought one of these after trying a generic one that was crap, and can confirm it fits absolutely perfectly. You don’t even know it’s on. Relieved, because here in Australia it cost ~$18AU once shipping and the currency conversion was taken into account! Pretty happy now.
