Distance in km but only alerts in miles

So I love my forerunner 30 but it only alerts me when I complete miles even though its tracking in km.

It will tell my I've completed 1.6km instead of every km

Incredibly annoying...

Does anyone see have this issue?

If you didn’t resolved this, you can change it in Activity Settings>Auto Lap

On Watch:

Settings-->System-->Units - Set to kms

On Garmin Connect Website:
Devices & Sync Icon (upper right) --> Forerunner 35 (Device Settings) -->Activity Profiles-->Run Outdoor

Enable "Alerts-->Distance-->1 km"

Save & Sync your watch, either via phone app (mobile) or garmin express (PC)

Verify last sync time in Garmin Connect Website (Devices & Sync Icon) to ensure it got the new settings
