Forerunner 30 Watch Face

Hi

i have recently bought my wife a brand new FR 30 and the watch face has always been set to digital (we didn’t know this could be changed). This morning my wife has woken up to an analogue face to her surprise.

After some searching I have come to learn that there should be a option in the GC app to switch between the 2 faces - this is not the case. After following the manual to devices setting the only option in there is ‘widgets’.

Any ideas why this is the case?

Thanks
  • You have to change it on the watch.

That’s on the 35 I believe, on the 30 I have read on multiple sites that the option to switch between analogue and digital is only possible on the app yet I can’t find it anywhere. The strangest thing is we didn’t even change it, it don’t it over night!
  • Yes, I have a FR35 (not in use anymore since I have the FR235). There I can change it on the watch. Not in Garmin Connect.

I’ve been having the exact same problem. It’s super frustrating. Te setting seems to have been removed from the app. However, it is still on the Garmin Connect website https://connect.garmin.com

Click your device and settings. Then the option is under appearance.

That said mine has randomly reverted to analogue again so I’ve had to go back to the website.
  • Im using garmin conect ver 4.5 and the option is there to change watch face. Open the app tap on the watch icon then on apperance and select the face you want
  • The same  thing's just happened to me.  Did your wife ever get her digital clock face back?

  • Try on the Garmin Connect Website

Device Settings on Your Garmin Connect Account

From your Garmin ConnectTm account, select your device to view the device settings.

    Appearance

Allows you to customize the watch face and widgets that appear on your device.

    Sounds & Alerts

Allows you to customize key tones, alert tones, and vibrations.

    Activity Options

Allows you to customize the training features, alerts, and custom data screens.

    Activity Tracking

Turns activity tracking features on and off, such as the move alert. You can manually set your steps goal and intensity minutes goal.

    User Settings

Allows you to customize your user profile settings, sleep times, and heart rate zones.

    General

Allows you to customize the backlight, time format, language, and units of measure. You can also turn off wrist-based heart rate monitoring.

After you have to sync the Watch.

Another Way is to Restore Defaults but then you have to do all the settings, Which is a pain.

  • Many thanks JoeD.... I'll have a go and let you know :-)

  • Grrr... followed advice to the letter and got to 24-hour format (Hooray!), re-set it, then went back to clock face and it's still analogue :-(    I'll try factory settings next.....  (I may be a bit fatter, a bit slower and definitely a bit older than last time I customised my watch :-))
