    Hi,

    I'm on PC

I can't find GARMIN(root) folder and I have nothing in REMOTES.

With your tuto I found a menu with :

    ROM TEST : Pass

    RAM (256kb) test : Pass

It's this checking you suggested ?

    hi,

    ROM TEST : Pass

    RAM (256kb) test : Pass

It's this checking you suggested ?

    is ok

    1) so nothing in REMOTESW and ahum GARMIN folder ?

    2) what free memory is windows showing

    3) when nothing else works....try this suggestion from Garmin Support

    vivoactive-3-3-music/random-restart-and-data-loss

Once that is done, please follow the steps below to delete some files. After the files have been removed, I recommend starting a walk activity and go for a small walk then save the activity to see if the device restarts again after deleting the files. Please let us know if this is still occurring.

    >>

You will need to delete the folders listed below: (Please note that this will get rid of all saved activities currently on the device that has not synced over to connect.)

    • Activity
    • Settings
    • Monitor
    • NewFiles
    • Remote SW

To delete the folders: Plug your device into the computer and follow the steps below.

    PC:

    • Click Window's start button
    • Click (My) Computer (This PC on Windows 8 or 10)
    • Double-click Garmin device drive
    • Double-click Garmin folder
    • Delete the Folders listed above
    • Right-click on Garmin device drive
    • Select Eject
    • Unplug device from computer

    I found a EPO.BIN in REMOTESW

Windows show 11.3 free on 11.8

I have already tried this suggestion (I deleted all folders found in root) but the issue is still present.

    quiet or trying something ?

show a screenshot with the folder structure

and last resort, reinstall firmware by going first to a previous firmware version

get the beta zip from Garmin over here FR235

connect your device to the PC

copy file GUPDATE-780.GCD to the GARMIN folder

    rename that file into GUPDATE.GCD

    unplug your watch from PC

    install firmware

connect your watch to PC and let Garmin Express check and download the latest Firmware (sync)

    unplug your watch from PC

    install firmware

    start an activity, save, ?

I have already try to downgrade in 7.81 but the 7.9 is always pushed in my watch (I select "NO" to install). There is a way to avoid updates ?

yes there is a way Slight smile

turn off bluetooth (phone) on your watch

and turn off Garmin Exxpress on your PC

my tuto is not to avoid 790, but instal the special downgrade firmware version first ! and then 790
