This software is now live for all users.
First ride today. Excellent- no dropping of any connections (BT phone, ant+ HR/Power/ Di2).
3:45 mins and 40% battery used (60%remaining). It was steady through the ride at 11% per hour.
I’m happy with…
To revert to 11.20:
Find and download Edge820_1120.gcd on the http://gawisp.com/perry/edge/ website.
Rename the file to gupdate.gcd and copy it to the Garmin directory on your 820. There likely will already…
Can Garmin do something right?
After updating the firmware to version 12.50, LiveTrack stopped working. Each attempt to view the position on the map ends with the message: "No signal. Try to connect again". The device is correctly paired with the smartphone - data synchronization is seamless. On previous firmware LiveTrack worked fine.
Damn it ...
I’d suggest contacting Garmin Support. I’ve found them very helpful when I’ve had any problems.
As I’ve said mine works fine. I did a 100k ride today. Live track worked. I stopped for coffee and turned the Garmin off. Started The garmin again and live track restarted with no intervention.
garmin support chat lines are good and helpful. Best of luck.

IDK if this will help, but previously when I had issues connecting to the phone and having LiveTrack work, I forgot the pairing on the 820, forgot it on the phone, deleted Connect on the phone, reinstalled Connect and went through the pairing process again. I also rebooted the phone and the 820 before reinstalling Connect and pairing, but I'm not sure that was necessary.
You then need to go through all the settings in Connect as far as permissions, enabling/disabling features, etc. It's a pain, but it has gotten it working for me again after it quit working, for whatever reason.
I did everything you wrote about it - it did not help.
If I had access to an earlier, properly working firmware version, e.g. 12.10, maybe after uploading everything would return to normal?
I'm starting to regret buying Garmin.
Edit:
Today I tried on another smartphone - the same effect.
I'm sick of this scrap.
yes i have a stages gen 2 crank arm & having looked on the web i found a possible solution was a loose battery terminal. the only things different from last year is I bought a radar light & replaced the battery in the crank arm also updated the 820. so I tweaked the battery terminal in the crank arm and its 90% better, it still loses connection every now & again but im happy its giving more accurate readings. another solution is to put the garmin behind the bars instead of out front but im not doing that.
