New Edge 820 Firmware 12.50 - any issues?

since the 100% ROLL OUT ...

has anybody some experience about it?

in the change log is nothing to find

regarding battery drain ???

is it solved?

First ride today. Excellent- no dropping of any connections (BT phone, ant+ HR/Power/ Di2).

3:45 mins and 40% battery used (60%remaining). It was steady through the ride at 11% per hour.

To revert to 11.20:

Find and download Edge820_1120.gcd on the http://gawisp.com/perry/edge/ website.

Rename the file to gupdate.gcd and copy it to the Garmin directory on your 820. There likely will already…

Had the message pop up today saying 12.50 was ready, I haven't dared to install it!

I can't download it. Only version 12.40 is available.

The software is on a phased roll-out. You may not be able to get it until it does to 100% depending on your unit ID.

Used 12.50 for the time today on a 60 mile ride. Don’t want to jinx myself, but everything worked. (That’s the first time that has ever happened with a Garmin update). It will take a few more rides to see how battery life is with 12.50.

I don't have access to that information, but based on prior phased roll outs they typically span a few days if there are no major problems reported.

I've not seen anything negative about build 12.50 on the forum so I would expect Garmin to push it to a full release early in the week.

went out with the 12.50 today. for me it still loses connection with the crank arm on & off, if you stop it loses it straight away until you set off again so its no different. battery was down to 70% after 1hr 35min

Second ride. All the sensors stayed connected. 3:15 hour ride; 51% battery remaining.
