This software is now live for all users.
First ride today. Excellent- no dropping of any connections (BT phone, ant+ HR/Power/ Di2).
3:45 mins and 40% battery used (60%remaining). It was steady through the ride at 11% per hour.
I’m happy with…
To revert to 11.20:
Find and download Edge820_1120.gcd on the http://gawisp.com/perry/edge/ website.
Rename the file to gupdate.gcd and copy it to the Garmin directory on your 820. There likely will already…
Have you tried to look into settings ? Especially the update rate. The first time I updated The edge it was set on « every 1 second »
After somme tries, the navigation is already broken on 12.50.
Map reset, garmin reset, disable auto zoom, set to less details... the map and TBT aren’t showing at time.
i ride 65km, and had to stop 4 times to find my way, and my route was most made of long straight road.. I will not imagine in a city.
When you are focus on your average speed it’s very frustrating, but may be I’m too fast fort the edge.. You can add a mention on the manual « do not use if you are able to ride faster than 30kmh »
After 12.50 and latest map update, my 820 is much longer when loading tracks and seems to be recalculating all the time ( high battery consumption, big delays when changing screens, very big delays when accessing to map screens or TBT info).
I have disabled all unused maps. Only the official Garmin one is active but there is no improvement.
Thanks! What you suggest as best setting?
Regards, Riccardo

Rename the file to gupdate.gcd and copy it to the Garmin directory on your 820. There likely will already be a gupdate.gcd file there so delete or replace it with this one.
When the 820 boots up, it will ask if you want to install the older version. Say yes and go through the steps.
From then on, Garmin will continue to offer and try to update you to the most recent FW, so you need to not accept the update, turn off automatic updates, or delete the new gupdate.gcd file it copies to your 820.
If you want to save all your data, screen setups, sensor pairings, etc. you need to save a number of files off the 820 before updating and copy them back after the update. Here's what Garmin says:
