Different maps on diferent profiles?

Hi!

I have installed Topo V5 Pro on my edge and now i have it with OSM default map. I have a road p`profile and a mountain profile. I want to use OSM on road and TOpo on mountain but, if i change the setting , it changes in both two profiles. Is there any way to select different maps for different profiles?

And another question: is there any way to slect the map layer order?

Hi,
It was present in edge 1000. But for 820 it seems to be a global setup and not per profile. Unfortunatelly it is a guite old issue:

Yeah, it seems to be a global setting unfortunately which can't be by design or they wouldn't have buried the option under the profiles. But I'm sure it is not going to be changed now.

This is a software design error, quite common for Garmin engineering dept. Will never be resolved. Only errors that affect the working of attached Garmin gadgets will be covered by Firmware updates, otherwise sales of powermeters etc. would drop.

I have an Edge 810 with firmware 6.30. Despite the fact that "Map Information" is under "Activity Profile", it seems to act globally. This is contrary to what DC Rainmaker says in his in-depth review, www.dcrainmaker.com/.../garmin-edge-810-in-depth-review.html, "This way I can create a ‘Hiking’ activity profile with a different map layer (such as Topos), and then still have my default road riding one be City Navigator. Nice touch." Did this ever work On the Edge 810?

I have an Edge 1000 and despite there being an option to set different maps for each profile, enabling/disabling a map for one profile enables/disables it for all the others too.
