Corrupt Fit file

My son did his first road race ever yesterday and was using an Edge 820. I believe that his 820 crashed right after the race and as a result his .fit file seems to be corrupt. Is there anyone that can repair it for me?

I probably wouldn't care so much about this if this wasn't his first race ever.

On a side note, his 820 seems to be crashing a lot so I suppose I'll be calling Garmin support.

I'm back with my monthly plea for help! Little bit different crash today; after pressing the pause button, I went to hit "save file" on the touch screen and the screen just started fading to white and wouldn't respond. Very weird. Anyway, if someone can fix this file for me, you will have my eternal gratitude. Thanks!

    Hi Mike,

can you help me please? I saved this file as normal to the edge 820 and it says upload successfull. But there was no upload to garmin connect or strava. After this I checked the activity folder, no data for today. Following that I was able to recover the file with a recovery tool (recuva). But i can still not uplaod the file to strava or connect, it always say "corrupt".

    hi David,

I've managed to sort out most of the file but you had some corrupt data around Attendorn which has affected the GPS data - unfortunately it's left you with a few 'straight lines' instead of your actual GPS track.

    Give this file a try.

    cheers

    Hi Mike,

thank you for your work. Unfortunately the data seems still corrupt e.g. it shows 887km, wrong power data and worst of all a route I´ve never been ridden today.

    hi LudoD,

See that someone else has also looked at the file - I'll only look at the file again if it's still not correct.

    cheers

Thanks OnlyTwo, all data in the fixed file seems to be correct but there are only the first 1:11h . The rest of the ride (4:15h in total) is still lost.
