Corrupt Fit file

My son did his first road race ever yesterday and was using an Edge 820. I believe that his 820 crashed right after the race and as a result his .fit file seems to be corrupt. Is there anyone that can repair it for me?

I probably wouldn't care so much about this if this wasn't his first race ever.

On a side note, his 820 seems to be crashing a lot so I suppose I'll be calling Garmin support.

    My very first race

    Hi!

    This weekend I participated in my very first race and when I tried to upload my race to Strava I found out that the record was missing.

    I managed to recover the lost file but it is corrupt according to Garmin and Strava.

    Can anyone help me? I have tried the kiesewetter online fix but it could not repair the file.

    hi Peter,

    You had a single corrupted GPS record that put you in the middle of the North Sea after 2mins of riding! I've removed that record and your file looks good again.

    Give this file a try - nice looking ride by the way!

    Hi Folks

    I have a corrupt .fit file - I had a go at self fixing, but seemingly no joy. I'd appreciate any assistance.

    I had to put up a dropbox link as the file is too big - it was a long ride!

    hi Mista_Haven,

    You had a very small amount of corrupted data right at the start of your file but it doesn't seem to have affected the overall file.

    Give this file a try.

    Update Totals Fit File

    Long story short....I had to factory reset my 820 Edge. Of course Garmin provides no option to set the device totals. Could someone please help and set the device and training totals in the attached file to 368265 seconds, 1808.19 miles, and 70740 calories?
