So for the past two weeks I have this recurring problem. Rides of any length with lots of data recorded are frozen within the device history. They can be seen in the rides list, but any attempt to open them fails and the activity is frozen. I reset the edge 520 back to factory settings to try and sort the problem out.
First ride after this was a granfondo in Catalonia at the weekend. I rode from the hotel to the start as a warmup and saved the ride. Completed the event, saved the ride and the same on the cooldown back to the hotel. On getting home, the same old problem, the two short rides, warmup and cold down upload, but the actual event is frozen within the history/rides on the edge and cannot be opened or uploaded. Super frustrating as I am now building a history and analysing my recovery rides but none of my real training or events.
Edit: I have tried connecting via USB on the laptop. The device synced but the granfondo file was there but could not be accessed.
