How to Master Reset Edge 520

Have tried holding the lap and start buttons while powering on but it doesn't seem to work on the 520 ...

anybody know how to maser reset

It should be the same as the Edge 500, it's the same u already tried.

Prompted non-vol clear –

Turn device off
Hold the Down key while powering on the device
Continue holding the down key until the “Factory Reset” prompt appears
Select OK to clear

Non-prompted Non-Vol Clear - Clears NV and deletes all FIT files including Activities, Courses, Workouts.

Turn device off
Hold Lap/Reset and Start/Stop
Press and release the power button
Continue to hold only Lap/Reset and Start/Stop
Release Lap/Reset and Start/Stop when the Garmin Logo is cleared
The unit will restart and clear non-vol

step 5 above - as long as you hold the two buttons the Garmin logo remains there.
As soon as you release the two buttons the Garmin logo clears.

This method does not seem to work. The 1st method achieves a factory reset.
I assume this clears everything ?

The factory reset does not clear activities, workouts, course or segments from the Edge.

This worked for me, though I had several attempts. None of the other ways worked, just had the "Garmin" screen and no response to any inputs

It happened using a MAC to load route files
