How disabling virtual partner on Edge 1030?

My former Edge 800 device allowed to select "virtual partner" on/off while loading a course.

It's not possible on Edge 1030.

Any proposals how to fix?

A way to disable this feature should be implemented asap

Agreed the "Virtual Partner" feature can be very annoying & really need the option to disable/switch off.

Most annoying are difficult navigation situations where you might accidentally misinterpret the virtual partner as your own location. Happened to me several times when the VP was nearly the same speed…

Being not able to desable the Virtual Partner is considered a feature by Garmin.

It is possible that they dont know how to do it

Or some features like "live segements" are related to VP

can you not remove it from the profile screen so it does not show at all?

is not about profile, its about elevation screen

The trick is when you create the course, you can give it a very high or very low speed and get it out of the way. But that same speed is used to calculate your ETA and such so if you need those the trick is not working. For me I like to set a realistic speed so the ETA and Time-To's are realistic and I just ignore the virtual partner, it is not very intrusive after all.

Since Edge 1000 it is not possible. The last Edge where you could disable was the Edge 800. Possible Edge 800 plus too .
