How disabling virtual partner on Edge 1030?

Being not able to desable the Virtual Partner is considered a feature by Garmin.

is not about profile, its about elevation screen

The trick is when you create the course, you can give it a very high or very low speed and get it out of the way. But that same speed is used to calculate your ETA and such so if you need those the trick is not working. For me I like to set a realistic speed so the ETA and Time-To's are realistic and I just ignore the virtual partner, it is not very intrusive after all.
