Another Screen Problem

I am wondering if anyone else has seen screen deterioration shown below.

The left edge is about 3 years old, the right, 6 months. The side by side photo shows accurately some fading at the edges and corners of the old unit compared to the new.

In close up, you can see the deterioration in more detail.

The old unit has not been heavily used or abused.

Anyone seen anything similar?

Brilliant, thanks. The devices serial number matches those affected by the halo.

My fault for not thinking of searching under ‘halo’.

For me Garmin has replaced my 1030 twice, free of charge, because of the halo issue. You should reach out to them through support and ask what they can do. Since this is a well known issue I suspect they will replace it. The latest hardware was modified to deal with that problem.

I just sent my two year old unit in due to the halo. Easy to do. Just email them with your serial number and they will email a return authorization. Should take under 10 days to get the refurbished replacement.
